FFXI Bank Version 1.0 ------------ Plan ------------ General Purpose: - Allow a cross server item purchases for all ffxi players without having them transfer chars/accounts with Gil. - Substantial Gil amounts are to be held across servers. - For the start (beta) we would chose Fenrir + Another similar CPI (Consumer Price Index) server with a high population. - Would write web application to manage and regulate transfers and schedules. - Person would have an option to pay a 1-way 25$ transfer (saving them $25) to SE to move their mule so they can get the purchased item or see if FFXIBank has a scheduled char transfer from server to deliver an order. - FFXIBank would be backed/supported/partnered with FFXIAH.com, BlueGartr community and financed by Omen. (hopefully) - There is nothing illegal about this idea in terms of FFXI user agreement policy. How it would work: - A person on ServerA would see a item listed on ServerB and contact FFXIBank to purchase the item on ServerB but give the Gil to FFXIBank of ServerA. - That person can create a mule and get the item on ServerB and make a personal $25 transfer of their mule or - Wait until a scheduled date to get the item. - This is very usefull for: > Rare items such as Abj -1s > High priced items > Bulk purchases of people with high capital that seek profits. > Currency/Alexi purchasing > People with characters on multiple servers that want to transfer Gil > Sending Gifts to other servers - Web would be also functional and translated for Japanese players. (eventually) Certification/Guarantees: - Support from FFXIAH.com, need to talk to Scragg. - Hopefully a positive reaction from BlueGartr. - Need a functional site app up and running before going public or talking to Scragg. Expansion plan: - The web application software would be initally made to scale the bank if it grows across all servers. - Initial start would be between Fenrir and a 2nd chosen server. About 40-50mil would be placed on that 2nd server. - Offers of a minimum 10mil purchase made FROM a active server (Aka Fenrir or a strong bank server) onto ANY other server to build up capital on other servers. The profits: - We charge 5% more then the cost of the item on the other server. > Example, Heralds Gaiters on Hades are bought for 12million by a person on Fenrir. > We charge 12 * 1.05 = 12.6. Make 600k from doing nothing. > Between 2 balanced servers Gil over time would just grow. As soon as it hits a certain mark we expand to other servers. - On average cross server items for a 'good deal' have a 25-30% price change, the issue is they have to pay $50 and need 2 diffrent accounts to get that item. - Our services would only cost them $25 to transfer a mule and they do not need a 2nd account. - FFXIAH Delivery-man option, we will post scheduled deliveries when we move our accounts for whatever purpose to allow people to take advantage of the delivery and save the $25 fee however then we would charge 10% per purchase. Very good example of why this service is in demand: - Person buying a relic on Fenrir needs currency he can make 5 mules across 5 diffrent servers and purchase the currency (or alexi) on each of the 5 servers then pay $25 once to move all of the mules back to Fenrir. - The only way that is possible for that person is if he gets financed on those servers from FFXIBank. - Obviously the customer would have to give us the Gil first on Fenrir. (Fenrir used as example). For Omen: - If this succeeds the Gil invested would grow exponentially. - DKP in Omen would be similar to owning stock of the FFXIBank. - The losses are minimal. Worst case scenario Hana/Syra lose 50$ and time spent on development. - Roughly 50% of the profits would go to Omen Bank the other 50% would go to all of the people that contribute to actual management of this project. - If this expands and the idea works we will need a team to manage transactions and use the banks application. Your salary would be in Gil.
